At R&S, we pride ourselves in the quality and dedication of our staff. Our fun, supportive work environment and the opportunity to work with youth make our childcare assistant position popular among education and nursing students. We believe maintaining the quality of childcare is directly related to child-staff ratios. Our ratios will remain low - especially during activities such as field trips - to uphold our fine reputation as a well-respected and well-established out of school care. 

All R&S staff are trained in Child Care and require certification as a Child Development Assistant in accordance with the Child Care Licensing Regulation. Our executive director holds an Advanced Qualification Certificate and has completed an Early Childhood Development Diploma of Proficiency. 

Staff must also have a valid First-Aid certificate and pass a security clearance check, including a vulnerable sector search. Staff do not have unsupervised access to children until the criminal record check and Level 1 certification has been provided.

 Staff continue their professional development throughout the year by attending workshops and conferences.
